CIR Australia is a body incorporated in the Australian Capital Territory in 2008. It is not aligned or associated with any other organization or interest. Members of CIR Australia come from a very wide spectrum of political opinion. The only thing they have in common is the belief that political parties have come to have too much control over the affairs of our country and that the citizenry should have some direct influence on the political process. CIR Australia is not a political party and it has no intention of directly entering the political arena. It will not align itself with a political party but it might, from time to time, endorse and support individual candidates for parliament. The policies of CIR Australia will be decided by its members after debate and a fairly conducted vote. We practise what we preach. The current committee is comprised of: Ronald Evans (President) Peter Stainer (Treasurer) Julie McCarron-Benson (Public Officer) Hugh Wigg Stan Batten David Astin
